Raining Frogs
One Monday afternoon in 1904, Mr J. Medhurst was out driving his horse and buggy in the rain. He heard a number of thumps and realised that it was raining frogs! The local paper reported it to be a strange weather phenomenon, saying the frogs may have been caught up in a whirlwind from neighbouring swamp or waterhole, falling to the ground when the storm exhausted itself.
