Telling Tales

Reading an excerpt from the local paper of Tuesday, 25th April 1903 (the Adelaide Advertiser) it was reported that at the Kingston Rabbit Factory

  • 3,000 pairs were received
  • 300 were treated
  • 4,000 tins produced

and there were

  • 12,000skins hanging in the new skin shed drying for export.

I was amazed and staggered at the quantity and what a big industry it was for a small town in those times.
