Sera Waters

This is a tale of the sparrow wars, a period early in the 1900s in the Limestone Coast region where introduced sparrow were rife and people, including a distant relative, made their living by combatting this pest. He would be paid per sparrow caught, as well as for their eggs. Sadly some sparrows were used in lieu of clay pigeons. There aren’t as many sparrows around anymore.
