In 1952 the unknown Mount Hope drain was constructed about a mile from our home it was exciting to see the huge draglines and Caterpillar bulldozers at work but by winter all roads were an interlaced series of Waterfield wheel nuts we were marooned vehicles have sunk at odd angles and bulldozers were bombed unknown there trap in thick black fairy wet mud
